Imane Jarboui, Chair of the Steering Committee and General Coordinator of the Forum, is a researcher and lecturer in Ancient Civilizations at the Faculty of Letters and Humanities of Sousse (University of Sousse, Tunisia). Passionate about knowledge transmission and convinced of education’s transformative power, she has established herself as a committed voice advocating for public education and fostering closer ties between universities, civil society, and the professional world.

A woman of conviction and action, she co-founded the International Citizen Forum for Education and Interdisciplinary Research (FCIERI), helping to make it a francophone and international platform for dialogue on education, interdisciplinary research, sustainability, and digital transition. The Forum has already held four editions since 2017 and is preparing its fifth.

She is also the founder of the Tunisian Forum for Education (FTE), the Ardhi Association (engaged in ecological and educational causes), and La Fresque QTCM, initiatives that strengthen the connections between education, science, interdisciplinary research, and civic engagement.

Through these initiatives, she advocates for an inclusive education that is attuned to its environment and committed to nurturing responsible and creative citizens. Her engagement reflects a clear vision: to make the university a driver of social transformation and sustainable development, rooted in its territory and heritage, while addressing contemporary global challenges.
